Velta Daigneault

Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

I have been serving in SE Asia since 2011 in India and the last 8 years in beautiful Cambodia. A poor nation, primarily Buddhist where Christianity is less than 2%. God has given me many opportunities to bring Hope and Good news of the Gospel into difficult situations by working in human trafficking of all kinds. Building relationships with street children to help those at risk. Building Partnerships with emerging Cambodian Leaders to help educate and share the gospel with garment factory workers. Even for a time out in the rural villages to learn more of the family culture and to come along persecuted new believers to help strengthen them in their faith.

Those years God was equipping me for this current stage of ministering among the most marginalized, the garbage recyclers, prostitutes, drug dealers and their families in the poorest of the poor slum communities. Areas where they said don’t waste your time, they are unreachable people. Though today there is new church plants and Cambodia leaders are being raised up as Teachers, Evangelist and Pastors.

Like the rest of the world, 2020-21 has been a challenging year with COVID, lockdowns and discrimination to foreigners making it harder to get into communities. But God... used that to allow us to reach deeper into the communities by feeding thousands of people who are unable to work and were starving as they had no food for their families. It opened the door to sharing the gospel in many communities and seeing hundreds come to Christ. Praying for the sick and seeing many healed. Even with churches shut down, new house churches were formed, new discipleship classes started and families and children that were at risk were rescued.

Amazing how God has worked thru this last year in bringing hope to those who were feeling so hopeless. That is our rescuing King and I am so humbled to be on this journey with Him. Thank you for your partnership in prayers and financial support in allowing me to be here ministering with the beautiful Cambodian people
