NLC Float in the Twinkle Light Parade

Sharing the Goodness of God! Psalm 34:1

Information Meeting: December 5, 7:00 pm in the Multipurpose Room

Where: Central Avenue west from Washington to Girard

Theme: Taste and See That God is Good

What: A flatbed trailer lit by twinkle lights, featuring a festive table gathering of family and friends, laughing, eating and talking about Jesus.  Children gather around to hear the Christmas story.  Walking friends, dressed as cooks or food items, hand out candy canes to parade goers, with NLC contact information and an invite to connect with a Table Group attached.

How: Volunteers will decorate the float prior to parade time.  At least 25 volunteers are needed to ride on or walk with the float, dressed in costume and twinkle lights.  Donations are very much welcome.

Needed: Financial donations to cover decorations, candy canes and stickers

The City Streets Outreach team will be meeting to discuss all things Twinkle Light Parade. Plan to join them and learn about how to get involved! They’ll be needing numerous people to help walk the parade and hand out candy, as well ride and set up the float. The team is also in need of financial donations for candy and other supplies.

Join us for our annual Wreath Making Workshop on November 30th from 10am-noon. This is such a special event and a great one to invite your neighbors, friends, coworkers, or family members who don’t know Jesus and would never normally come into the church. We are so blessed to have Julianne Zarasua from Desert Flower Co. leading the workshop and helping us make a beautiful wreath to take home and enjoy for the holidays.

Our Annual Thanksgiving Dinner is happening November 26 at 6pm. This is a highlight of our calendar that shows the full health and vibrancy of our church. Plan to attend and invite someone from outside the church. Trista will be in lobby starting November 3 for signups. Please rsvp with the number of people in your group and sign up to bring a dish!

With our location so close to the Balloon Fiesta Park, hosting church services during the event can be difficult. For that reason we’ve elected to hold special outdoor services during the two weekends of Balloon Fiesta.

Join us for service at 9:00 a.m. at the New Mexico Veterans Memorial where we’ll have an abbreviated service followed by food, fellowship, and games. This is a great opportunity to invite friends or people from work to experience our church away from a traditional setting.

Nic and Rachel Billman have been ministering the Love of God in some of the poorest parts of Brazil since 2010, where they founded of Shores of Grace Ministries. Their heart and calling is to minister God’s Love to those most effected by the bonds of prostitution, abuse, and poverty.

Nic and Rachel will be joining us at both 9:00 & 11:00 services where they’ll be leading worship, as we well as sharing testimonies of God’s goodness and hand at work.
