NLC KIDS
-
NLC Kids vision is that every child will be given an opportunity to be exposed to God’s love and presence through worship, Bible lesson and activities all geared toward activating their love and receiving Gods love. Our ministers are trained and released to minister to the children and lead service for each age group.
What time of curriculum do you use?
We use our own written curriculum called Word and Spirit. You may use the QR code outside of every room to access lessons and stay connected to what your child is learning in each service.
We love your children and desire to create a safe and presence filled environment where God’s love is poured out.

When you arrive at NLC Kids you will be welcomed with a warm smile from a person on our Welcome Team. As a first attender you will be asked to fill out information about your family and get a name tag for each of your children. There will be a number that will print out on both the child’s tag and parents tag that you will be asked to show when picking up each child.
The Greeter will help you locate where you drop off each child.
If you are a regular attender, you will use Check In Station and sign each child in and walk them to appropriate room for service.
During pick up you will go to age-appropriate room and have your tag with number ready so minister at door can bring your child to you and verify the numbers for safety reasons. Keep your number for each child as you will be asked to verify for each child at each room.
Can I drop my child off after service begins?
We will only accept children 20 minutes after start of service time. We also ask that you don’t pick your child up mid service for security reasons unless it is discussed with Lead Minister prior to service beginning for the day, or there is an emergency.
-
How does someone become a minister for NLC Kids?
Each person who ministers in NLC Kids has had a background check and has gone through training. There is ongoing training several times a year.
-
Can siblings attend the same service together?
No, each space is set up for age- appropriate Worship Time, Bible Lesson and Activities. We at NLC Kids strongly encourage each child to attend their specific rooms so they can receive all God has for them in an environment focused for their age of learning.
What happens if your child is having a difficult time in service?
If your child is having considerable difficulty, we ask that you have your phone with you as we will text you and ask you to come after 15 minutes after drop off and support your child. Our goal is that every child would be able to acclimate, but we also know how difficult it can be for a child to adjust to a new environment.
Can I use the nursery to change my child’s diaper if they do not attend service?
No, due to security issues, we ask that you use the Nursing Mother’s Room on the east side of the building in the foyer area. It will be stocked with diapers and wipes for your convenience.
NLC Kids check-in begins 15 minutes before the service (8:45am & 10:45 Sun), and classes will be open 10 minutes before service.
NLC Kids believes we are called to support parents in training up their children to know the word, live by The Spirit and know their identity in Him which leads them to pursue what is good. At NLC the kids will be given the opportunity to experience the presence of God through Spirit-led worship, prayer, and the Word and Spirit Curriculum. We also have special events throughout the year where the kids will have opportunities to be involved in outreach. We believe God is calling the children to walk in spiritual maturity from a young age.
Here at NLC your children will be in safe hands with those who feel called to working with children. Every volunteer goes through a background check prior to serving, and we have a computer check in process so only those who are registered can pick their child up.
